About Us

 

Mission Statement

The Answer Store’s mission is to combat wealth disparity and income inequality by assisting communities with building wealth through individual consumer knowledge, support, and guidance in navigating complex health, financial and personal benefit matters. The Answer Store’s services and creed are modeled from the popular Affordable Care Act Marketplace consumer assistance program that provides specially-trained professional Navigators that deliver consumers non-biased, confidential assistance in accessing and maximizing the benefits available to them. All services are provided to consumers through a collaborative, asking questions and getting answers to health care and health insurance issues without the consumer having to entrust salesmen with their personal information. The Answers store will build upon the current Marketplace Navigator skills with an un-biased creed to expand support for wealth creation in areas to include Social Security, life insurance, income protection, retirement planning, investment strategies, and tax regulation. The Answer Store is the Consumer’s one-stop shop for un-biased professional guidance, support and knowledge to maintaining health, building wealth and protecting life.

Orlando Hulse

Orlando Hulse has a heart for assisting people with maximizing their financial literacy and resources. Driven from an entrepreneurial spirit first developed while working towards his BA in Mathematics/Computer Science from San Jose State University, he created a successful IT Services company from his dorm room. Orlando successfully ran the IT company for 35 years supporting Fortune 500 companies such as Verizon, General Electric and Wellpoint/Blue Cross before moving east to Florida from California in 2013.

After five years as a Florida state certified Marketplace Navigator for the Affordable Care Act, Orlando created the Answer Store that walks along-side consumers providing expanded assistance across multiple financial disciplines such as budgeting, taxes, insurance, social security, and retirement. Additionally, the Answer Store acts as a professional education/certification and information clearinghouse for individuals who wish to become Certified Fiscal Navigators. Through strenuous education and certification guidelines, practitioners become well versed to guide consumers in evaluating and navigating the disciplines and tools basic to wealth creation.

Orlando is presently employed as a Financial Counselor for the Orlando Health Medical System, that boasts the only Level One Trauma center in Central Florida. He is an avid boater and amateur percussionist in his spear time.

 

 

Darnell “DD” Barber Moye

Ms. Darnell “DD” Barber-Moye is a Certified Marketplace Navigator in the State of Florida currently volunteering with the Primary Care Access Network (PCAN) to reach the underinsured population in Central Florida. DD is an “original Navigator” having join PCAN in 2013 for the first Affordable Care Act Marketplace Open Enrollment period. During this time Ms. Barber has been an in-person counselor assisting consumers with education and enrolling in Marketplace, Medicaid, and Medicare programs and matching consumers with other social services support organizations. She has been a community advocate and speaker at health fairs, conferences, and job fairs to ensure health care education is provided throughout the central Florida region. Ms. Barber has been widely recognized for her Navigator service with awards from organizations such as Orlando Health – Health Central Hospital, United Against Poverty, Pine Hills Neighborhood Center for Families and Children, and Goodwill Industries.

Ms. Barber is also a volunteer Housing Advocate with St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. In this role, she advocates for expanded affordable housing resources and support services in Central Florida, that has a dismal affordable housing record. She spends considerable time within the Orlando community networking with public officials and creating alliances with a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the social and fiscal well beings of residents.

Prior to joining PCAN, Ms. Barber-Moye spent 20 years as a Director of Business Development for a major telecommunications manufacturer where she managed the implementation of global telecommunications networks for the U.S. Department of Defense.

Darnell is active in her community and currently serves as Vice President of the Spring Lake Reserve Homeowners Association. She is a former volunteer with Senior First of Orlando and Orlando Health Health Central Hospital Patient and Family Advisory Committee. Ms. Barber-Moye holds an M.B.A. degree and an M.S in Health Science Administration. She is a native of Fairfax, Virginia and has resided in Orlando, Florida area since 2005.

 

 

Onaney Hernandez

Onaney Hernandez is passionate about giving people the tools they need to achieve their goals and live a healthy life. She has been a Certified Marketplace Navigator since 2013 in the State of Florida and is currently volunteering with the Primary Care Access Network (PCAN) to reach the underinsured. In this role, she serves as a bridge between health and social services and the underserved community through community outreach events, trainings and assisting Central Florida residents in accessing health insurance through the Marketplace.

Currently, she is a Program Director with MHP Salud providing capacity-building assistance to Migrant and Community Health Centers and others developing Promotor(a) programs. She also oversees 3 programs in two states, Florida and Texas, that focus on Chronic Diabetic Kidney Disease, Sexual Assault, Interpersonal Violence and Human Trafficking. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Campbell University in North Carolina. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
